CCAGW PAC Endorses Florida Candidates

Today, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste Political Action Committee (CCAGW PAC) announced its endorsement of four Florida candidates:  Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) for re-election to the U.S. Senate; Reps. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) and Ted Yoho (R-Fla.) for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives; and candidate Brian Mast for election to the open seat in Florida’s 18th congressional district.

CCAGW PAC based its endorsements on each candidate’s lifetime score as listed in CCAGW’s 2015 Congressional Ratings.

Sen. Rubio has maintained an exemplary 96 percent lifetime rating, including a perfect 100 percent in 2015.  Rep. DeSantis has a lifetime rating of 97 percent, and Rep. Yoho has a lifetime rating of 90 percent.

Brian Mast is running to fill the open seat in Florida’s 18th congressional district.  CCAGW PAC based its endorsement of Mr. Mast on his answers to the CCAGW PAC 2016 Candidate Questionnaire, which were consistent with the organization’s principles and in harmony with CCAGW PAC’s support for fiscal restraint and opposition to costly government mandates and regulations.  The candidate questionnaire can be found online at www.ccagwpac.org/questionnaire.

“During their tenures in the Senate and House, these four members of Congress have served the citizens of Florida with great distinction,” said CCAGW PAC Chairman Tom Schatz. “On top of their prestigious voting records, they worked with their colleagues to restrain the growth of federal spending and to help make government more accountable and transparent to taxpayers.”

“Their abiding commitment to fiscal conservatism is one of the many reasons that I urge Floridians to vote for Sen. Rubio and Reps. DeSantis and Yoho on November 8 so that they can continue to hold the line on Washington’s big-spending agenda, and for Brian Mast, so that he may join these distinguished public servants in the fight to restore accountability and fiscal discipline to the nation’s capital,” concluded Schatz.

CCAGW PAC is affiliated with the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste, a 501(c)(4) organization.  CCAGW PAC’s mission is to support political candidates who will fight to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse in government and represent the best interests of taxpayers.
