CCAGW PAC Endorses Michigan Congressional Candidates

Today, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste Political Action Committee (CCAGW PAC) announced its endorsement of Reps. Justin Amash (R-Mich.) and Bill Huizenga (R-Mich.) for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives. With lifetime scores of 91 and 92 percent respectively, both Reps. Amash and Huizenga have earned the title of “Taxpayer Hero,” a status each representative has earned every year since they were first elected to Congress in 2010. If re-elected, both Rep. Amash and Rep. Huizenga would be serving his third term.

CCAGW PAC bases its endorsements on a candidate’s lifetime score as listed in CCAGW’s 2013 Congressional Ratings. Each candidate endorsed is a “Taxpayer Hero” with a lifetime rating of 90 percent or greater.

“During their tenures, Reps. Amash and Huizenga have served the citizens of Michigan with great distinction,” said CCAGW PAC Chairman Tom Schatz. “On top of their prestigious voting records, each has worked with their colleagues to restrain the growth of federal spending and helped make government more accountable and transparent to taxpayers.”

“Their abiding commitment to fiscal conservatism is one of the many reasons that I urge constituents in the 3rd and 2nd Congressional Districts respectively to vote for Rep. Amash and Rep. Huizenga on November 4, so that they can return to Washington, D.C. and continue to protect the interests of both their constituents and all Americans,” concluded Schatz.

CCAGW PAC is affiliated with the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste, a 501(c)(4) organization. CCAGW PAC’s mission is to support political candidates who will fight to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse in government and represent the best interests of taxpayers.
