CCAGW PAC Endorses Wisconsin Congressional Candidates

Today, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste Political Action Committee (CCAGW PAC) announced its endorsement of two members of the Wisconsin congressional delegation for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives: Reps. Paul Ryan (R) and Jim Sensenbrenner (R). CCAGW PAC based its endorsements on each candidate’s lifetime score as listed in CCAGW’s 2013 Congressional Ratings. Each of these candidates is a “Taxpayer Hero” with a lifetime rating of 90 percent or greater.

With a score of 94 percent, Rep. Sensenbrenner has the highest lifetime rating of Wisconsin’s House delegation. In CCAGW’s 1990, 1991, and 2007 Congressional Ratings, Rep. Sensenbrenner scored a perfect 100 percent, earning him the coveted title of “Taxpayer Super Hero.” House Budget Committee Chairman Ryan has a lifetime rating of 92 percent. If re-elected, Rep. Sensenbrenner would be serving his 19th term, and Rep. Ryan would be serving his ninth term.

“The courageous actions of both of these public servants has helped cut wasteful spending, reduce taxes, and make government more accountable and transparent to taxpayers,” said CCAGW PAC Chairman Tom Schatz. “I urge Wisconsinites in the 1st and 5th Congressional Districts respectively to vote for Rep. Ryan and Rep. Sensenbrenner on November 4 so they can return to Washington, D.C. and continue to protect the interests of both their constituents and all Americans.”

CCAGW PAC is affiliated with the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste, a 501(c)(4) organization. CCAGW PAC’s mission is to support political candidates who will fight to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse in government and represent the best interests of taxpayers.
