Today, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste Political Action Committee (CCAGW PAC) announced its endorsement of Rep. Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.) for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives. With a lifetime score of 90 percent, Rep. Lummis has earned the title of “Taxpayer Hero,” a status she has achieved every year since 2010. Rep. Lummis scored a perfect 100 percent in CCAGW’s 2009 Congressional Ratings, earning her the coveted title of “Taxpayer Super Hero.” If re-elected, Rep. Lummis would be serving her fourth term.
CCAGW PAC bases its endorsements on a candidate’s lifetime score as listed in CCAGW’s 2013 Congressional Ratings. Each candidate endorsed is a “Taxpayer Hero” with a lifetime rating of 80 percent or greater.
“During her tenure, Rep. Lummis has served the citizens of Wyoming with great distinction,” said CCAGW PAC Chairman Tom Schatz. “On top of her prestigious voting record, she has worked with her colleagues to restrain the growth of federal spending and has helped make government more accountable and transparent to taxpayers.”
“Rep. Lummis’ abiding commitment to fiscal conservatism is one of the many reasons that I urge voters in Wyoming to vote for her on November 4, so that she can return to Washington, D.C. and continue to protect the interests of both her constituents and all Americans,” concluded Schatz.
CCAGW PAC is affiliated with the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste, a 501(c)(4) organization. CCAGW PAC’s mission is to support political candidates who will fight to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse in government and represent the best interests of taxpayers.
