Today, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste Political Action Committee (CCAGW PAC) announced its endorsement of four Michigan candidates:  Reps. Justin Amash (R-Mich.), Bill Huizenga (R-Mich.), and Tim Walberg (R-Mich.); and General Jack Bergman, candidate for election to the House from Michigan’s 1st Congressional District.

CCAGW PAC based its endorsements on each candidate’s lifetime score as listed in CCAGW’s 2015 Congressional Ratings.

Rep. Amash has a lifetime rating of 93 percent, Rep. Huizenga has a lifetime rating of 94 percent, and Rep. Walberg has a lifetime rating of 89 percent.

General Jack Bergman is running for the open House seat in Michigan’s 1st District.  CCAGW PAC based its endorsement of Gen. Bergman on his answers to the CCAGW PAC 2016 Candidate Questionnaire, which were consistent with the organization’s principles and in harmony with CCAGW PAC’s support for fiscal restraint and opposition to costly government mandates and regulations.  The candidate questionnaire can be found online at www.ccagwpac.org/questionnaire.

“During their tenures in the House, these three members of Congress have served the citizens of Michigan with great distinction,” said CCAGW PAC Chairman Tom Schatz. “On top of their prestigious voting records, they worked with their colleagues to restrain the growth of federal spending and to help make government more accountable and transparent to taxpayers.”
