Today, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste Political Action Committee (CCAGW PAC) announced its endorsement of two Minnesota candidates: Rep. Erik Paulsen (R-Minn.) and candidate Jason Lewis for election to the House from Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District.
CCAGW PAC based its endorsements on each candidate’s lifetime score as listed in CCAGW’s 2015 Congressional Ratings.
During his five terms in the House, Rep. Paulsen has a lifetime rating of 81 percent, making him a “Taxpayer Hero.”
Jason Lewis is running for the open House seat from Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District. CCAGW PAC based its endorsement of Mr. Lewis on his answers to the CCAGW PAC 2016 Candidate Questionnaire, which were consistent with the organization’s principles and in harmony with CCAGW PAC’s support for fiscal restraint and opposition to costly government mandates and regulations. The candidate questionnaire can be found online at www.ccagwpac.org/questionnaire.
“During his tenure, Rep. Paulsen has served the citizens of Minnesota with great distinction,” said CCAGW PAC Chairman Tom Schatz. “On top of his voting record, he has worked to restrain the growth of federal spending and has helped make government more accountable and transparent to taxpayers.”
“I urge Minnesotans to vote for Rep. Paulsen on November 8 so that he can continue to hold the line on Washington’s big-spending agenda, and for Jason Lewis, so that he may join this distinguished public servant in the fight to restore accountability and fiscal discipline to the nation’s capital,” concluded Schatz.
CCAGW PAC is affiliated with the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste, a 501(c)(4) organization. CCAGW PAC’s mission is to support political candidates who will fight to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse in government and represent the best interests of taxpayers.
