Today, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste Political Action Committee (CCAGW PAC) announced its endorsement of Reps. Mike Garcia (R-Calif.), Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), Young Kim (R-Calif.), Doug LaMalfa (R-Calif.), Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), Tom McClintock (R-Calif.), Jay Obernolte (R-Calif.), Michelle Steel (R-Calif.), and David Valadao (R-Calif.) for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives.
CCAGW PAC bases its endorsements of incumbents on a candidate’s lifetime score as listed in CCAGW’s 2021 Congressional Ratings.
Rep. Garcia’s lifetime rating is 94 percent, Rep. Kim’s lifetime rating is 87 percent, Rep. LaMalfa’s lifetime rating is 91 percent, Rep. McCarthy’s lifetime rating is 85 percent, Rep. McClintock’s lifetime rating is 98 percent and Rep. Valadao’s lifetime rating is 96 percent. They are all lifetime “Taxpayer Heroes.” Reps. McCarthy and McClintock had a 100 percent rating in 2021, making them “Taxpayer Super Heroes.” Reps. Issa, Obernolte, and Steel all have a 100 percent lifetime rating as “Taxpayer Super Heroes.”
“During their tenures in the House, Reps. Garcia, Issa, Kim, LaMalfa, McCarthy, McClintock, Obernolte, Steel, and Valadao have all been strong and reliable votes to curb government waste and reform Washington,” said CCAGW PAC Chairman Tom Schatz. “On top of their impressive voting records, they fought for increased accountability and transparency while opposing efforts to massively increase federal spending and adopt burdensome new regulations. I urge their constituents to re-elect them to Congress.”
