Today, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste Political Action Committee (CCAGW PAC) announced its endorsement of Reps. George Holding (R-N.C.), Mark Meadows (R-N.C.), and Robert Pittenger (R-N.C.) for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives. With a lifetime score of 93 percent, Rep. Holding has the highest lifetime rating of the North Carolina Congressional Delegation, earning him the title of “Taxpayer Hero.” With lifetime scores of 90 and 91 percent respectively, Reps. Meadows and Pittenger also earned the title of “Taxpayer Hero.” If re-elected, Reps. Holding, Meadows, and Pittenger would all be serving their second term.

CCAGW PAC bases its endorsements on a candidate’s lifetime score as listed in CCAGW’s 2013 Congressional Ratings. Each candidate endorsed is a “Taxpayer Hero” with a lifetime rating of 90 percent or greater.

“During their first terms, Reps. Holding, Meadows, and Pittenger have served the citizens of North Carolina with great distinction,” said CCAGW PAC Chairman Tom Schatz. “On top of their prestigious voting records, they have worked with their colleagues to restrain the growth of federal spending and have helped make government more accountable and transparent to taxpayers.”

“Each of these candidates’ abiding commitment to fiscal conservatism is one of the many reasons that I urge voters in the 13th, 11th, and 9th Congressional Districts respectively to vote for Reps. Holding, Meadows, and Pittenger on November 4, so that they can return to Washington, D.C. and continue to protect the interests of both their constituents and all Americans,” concluded Schatz.
