Today, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste Political Action Committee (CCAGW PAC) announced its endorsement of eight North Carolina House candidates:  Reps. Ted Budd (R-N.C.), Virginia Foxx (R-N.C.), George Holding (R-N.C.), Richard Hudson (R-N.C.), Patrick McHenry (R-N.C.), Mark Meadows (R-N.C.), David Rouzer (R-N.C.), and Mark Walker (R-N.C.) for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives.

CCAGW PAC based its endorsements of incumbents on a candidate’s lifetime score as listed in CCAGW’s 2017 Congressional Ratings.

The lifetime scores for the eight representatives are below. Each one has earned the title of “Taxpayer Hero” based on their exemplary lifetime ratings (followed by the first year they were elected):

Rep. Ted Budd: 100 percent (“Taxpayer Super Hero”) (2016)
Rep. Virginia Foxx: 87 percent (2004)
Rep. George Holding: 96 percent (2012)
Rep. Richard Hudson: 94 percent (2012)
Rep. Patrick McHenry: 89 percent (2004)
Rep. Mark Meadows: 95 percent (2012)
Rep. David Rouzer: 94 percent (2014)
Rep. Mark Walker: 95 percent (2014)

“During their tenures in the House, Reps. Ted Budd, Virginia Foxx, George Holding, Richard Hudson, Patrick McHenry, Mark Meadows, David Rouzer, and Mark Walker have all been strong and reliable votes to curb government waste and reform Washington,” said CCAGW PAC Chairman Tom Schatz.  “On top of their impressive voting records, they worked with their colleagues to enact historic tax cuts, support deregulation, and help ignite America’s economic boom.  Because of this, I urge North Carolinians to re-elect them to Congress.”
