Today, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste Political Action Committee (CCAGW PAC) announced its endorsement of Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives. With a lifetime score of 85 percent, Rep. King has earned the title of “Taxpayer Hero,” and he has the highest lifetime rating of the Iowa delegation. If re-elected, Rep. King would be serving his seventh term.
CCAGW PAC bases its endorsements on a candidate’s lifetime score as listed in CCAGW’s 2013 Congressional Ratings. Each candidate endorsed is a “Taxpayer Hero” with a lifetime rating of 80 percent or greater.
“During his tenure, Rep. King has served the citizens of Iowa with great distinction,” said CCAGW PAC Chairman Tom Schatz. “On top of his prestigious voting record, he has worked with his colleagues to restrain the growth of federal spending and has helped make government more accountable and transparent to taxpayers.”
“Rep. King’s abiding commitment to fiscal conservatism is one of the many reasons that I urge voters in Iowa’s 4th Congressional District to vote for him on November 4, so that he can return to Washington, D.C. and continue to protect the interests of both his constituents and all Americans,” concluded Schatz.
CCAGW PAC is affiliated with the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste, a 501(c)(4) organization. CCAGW PAC’s mission is to support political candidates who will fight to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse in government and represent the best interests of taxpayers.
