Today, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste Political Action Committee (CCAGW PAC) announced its endorsement for Sen. Todd Young (R-Ind.) for re-election to the U.S. Senate and Reps. Jim Baird (R-Ind.), Jim Banks (R-Ind.), Larry Buchson (R-Ind.), Greg Pence (R-Ind.), and Victoria Spartz (R-Ind.) for re-election to the House of Representatives.
CCAGW PAC based its endorsements on the candidates’ lifetime score in CCAGW’s 2021 Congressional Ratings.
Sen. Young has a lifetime rating of 84 percent. Rep. Baird has a lifetime rating of 95 percent; Rep. Banks has a lifetime rating of 99 percent; Rep. Buchson has an 83 percent lifetime rating; and Rep. Pence has a 91 percent lifetime rating, making them a “Taxpayer Hero,” and Rep. Spartz has a lifetime rating of 100 percent, making her a “Taxpayer Super Hero.” Reps. Baird, Banks, and Buschon were all “Taxpayer Super Heroes” with a rating of 100 percent in 2021.
“During their tenures in the Senate and House, Sen. Young and Reps. Baird, Banks, Buchson, Pence, and Spartz have been strong and reliable votes to curb government waste and reform Washington,” said CCAGW PAC Chairman Tom Schatz. “On top of their impressive voting records, they fought for increased accountability and transparency while opposing efforts to massively increase federal spending and adopt burdensome new regulations. I urge their constituents to re-elect them to Congress.”
